PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT is comprised of the City Street, Sanitation and Environmental Services Departments.

Street Department maintains roadways, bridges and drainage structures.

Sanitation Department provides residential garbage and residential trash pickup within the city limits of Ozark.
 
Environmental Services handles the following services: Residential recycling for participating citizens, metal recycling, scrap tire and electronic waste pickup, street/right-of-way maintenance (litter patrol, mowing, cleaning), mosquito control.

2013 HOLIDAY GARBAGE COLLECTION SCHEDULE

 

January 1, 2013 (Tuesday)                  NEW YEARS DAY

No garbage, trash or recycling collection.  Wednesday and Thursday garbage, trash and recycling routes will be delayed one day.  Friday routes will be collected as scheduled.

January 21, 2013 (Monday)                MARTIN LUTHER KING’S BIRTHDAY

No garbage or trash collection.  Monday-Thursday garbage and trash will be delayed one day.  Recycling will be collected as scheduled.  Friday routes will be collected as scheduled.

February 18, 2013 (Monday)              PRESIDENTS DAY

No garbage or trash collection.  Monday-Thursday garbage and trash will be delayed one day.  Recycling will be collected as scheduled.  Friday routes will be collected as scheduled.

May 27, 2013 (Monday)                     MEMORIAL DAY

No garbage or trash collection.  Monday-Thursday garbage and trash will be delayed one day.  Recycling will be collected as scheduled.  Friday routes will be collected as scheduled.

July 4, 2013 (Thursday)                       INDEPENDENCE DAY

Monday-Wednesday collection schedule will remain the same.  No garbage, trash, or recycling will be collected on Thursday, July 4.  Thursday’s garbage, trash and recycling will be delayed one day.  Friday routes will be collected as scheduled.

September 2, 2013 (Monday)             LABOR DAY

No garbage or trash collection.  Monday-Thursday garbage and trash will be delayed one day.  Recycling will be collected as scheduled.  Friday routes will be collected as scheduled.

October 14, 2013 (Monday)               COLUMBUS DAY

No garbage or trash collection.  Monday-Thursday garbage and trash will be delayed one day.  Recycling will be collected as scheduled.  Friday routes will be collected as scheduled.

November 11, 2013 (Monday)           VETERANS DAY

No garbage or trash collection.  Monday-Thursday garbage and trash will be delayed one day.  Recycling will be collected as scheduled.  Friday routes will be collected as scheduled.

November 28 & 29, 2013 (Thursday & Friday)          THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY

Monday-Wednesday collection schedule will remain the same.  Thursday and Friday garbage will be collected on Wednesday, November 27.  There will be no collection on Thursday or Friday.  No recycling will be collected on Thursday, November 27.

December 24, 2013 (Tuesday)                                   CHRISTMAS EVE

Garbage and trash will be collected Monday, Dec. 23 as scheduled.  Garbage only will be collected Tuesday, Dec. 24.  No recycling will be collected on Tuesday, Dec.24.

December 25, 2013 (Wednesday)                              CHRISTMAS DAY

No garbage, trash or recycling collection.  Wednesday and Thursday garbage, trash and recycling collection will be delayed one day.

January 1, 2014 (Wednesday)                                                NEW YEARS DAY

Monday and Tuesday garbage, trash and recycling routes will operate as scheduled.  No garbage, trash or recycling collection will be done on Wednesday, Jan 1.  Wednesday and Thursday garbage, trash and recycling will be delayed one day.
